Chromatic.City Print Issue 4
"Time Capsule" - Spring 2026
Featuring artists, Tea Fannie and Gabriela Anaite, both incredible musicians and community builders, Issue 4 is an exciting addition to the Chromatic.City collection. Read about Anaite's journey into the YYC music scene, including her evolution as Selena YYC. We do a deep dive into Tea Fannie's album It's All Love and how it connects with the arts scene in Mohkinstsis.
The title, Time Capsule, is a nod to the content, which ranges from 2024 forward. Features include l'Omelette and Laura Hickli at the Calgary Folk Music Festival in 2024 and 2025 respectively. The fantastic YYC BUMP Trinity Kiki Ball in 2024 and Drag Me to Cowboys 2025 both have segments with lots of images of the incredible performers and participants.
Spaces & Places continues, this time featuring the inviting inclusive atmosphere at Congress Coffee. We've added a couple new fun segments, like What's in Youg Bag, and Listen Up (album recommendations).
A contributor article with accompanying photos by Em Medland-Marchen will speak to your soul while challenging systemic biases as they appear in the music industry.
Graphic design is by Annie Wilde who put a ton of heart and creativity into the layout and creative direction of this issue. It would not be out in the world without their huge commitment and exceptional work.
